One of the most important things drivers demand from a people carrier is passenger security, so you'll be reassured to know that the S-MAX holds a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating. To match the majority of current-generation Fords, it's built with an impact-absorbing rigid shell and fitted with full surrounding airbags, ABS, ESP and the Intelligent Protection System.
